Shiok and Moss are closing on 31 March

(I'm not sure if anyone is even on LJ any more, but here goes anyway...)

My restaurant, Shiok and cocktail lounge, Moss will be closing at the end of March, 2010. 31 March will be our last day of operations. This is not a decision I've taken easily, but it's been made necessary for both business and personal reasons. (If you're interested in FAQ- ( Read more... )

I won't be in Bangalore, but if I had, I would have swung by. The times I was there, I had a good time :) Mostly I had a good time out of Bangalore, but knowing you were "living/being" the chef.

Special +1 on the watermelon drink you dreamt up the last time I was there.

I never did make it to the new location, but I really enjoyed visiting the old one. Your FAQ page still leaves a lot unanswered (questions such as "why" and "where") but I guess you don't really want to answer those...here's wishing you luck in whatever you do. I find that whatever I've seen you do, you do very well....cooking, and food photography, to name two...and someone whose opinion I respect told me you were very good as a software engineer, too.

I've admired the way you chose to leave the beaten path, and made tracks of your own. I rather think that will be the tenor of your life always! I wish you the very best. Amongst other things I learnt how to (occasionally) make perfect rice, from you.
