What do people think about changing the point weights? (ex. there is a way to give multipliers to attendence, media coverage, etc. to make things worth more.)   What should be the most important?  Least important?  Should it all be the same?

fc, points

Given that most folk aren't taking this the least bit seriously, I don't think it much matters. I say just leave them as they are.

If by take it seriously you mean try to win you may be accurate. However dont mistake my enjoyment with drafting a bunch of stiff congressmen for thier relation to cheers charecthers as not taking it the least bit seriously. I assure you I will check often, write about league news and what have you's.

'Getting into it' is completely different than 'taking it seriously', IMHO. I know you're 'into it.'

I'm looking for this to be an educational experience as well as entertaining. This is why I drafted the team I did. Going by their statistics they are ass kickers (and I know next to nothing about any of them). I'd prefer that if I am to learn something from anyone it would be the ass kickers. After all, success studies success.

well if you want to put it that way I already know plenty about the bigger names in congress and would like to get to know the lesser players who have a large part in deciding our laws

See what I did there. I turned those tables right around!

I say you look over rands team, determine which stat he is weakest in and make that stat worth a multiplier of 100. Next find the stat my team is most impressive in (if such a stat exists) and Multiply that by 50.

If you have any questions note that i would rather rand loses than I win.

Seriously though weights are a tricky subject and really only make sense in fantasy baseball leagues with more than 5X5 because obiously walks shouldnt matter as much as HR. a 1 for 1 weighting is fine.

noted. Maybe next session we do a media whore edition, and amp up the media multiplier. or the Teacher's pet edition and weigh attendance super high.
