The Matches going on a break?

The Troubadour is promoting their show in August as their "final So-Cal show". And in the venue's newsletter on 6/24, they wrote:

I have found out that the reason this will be their final So Cal show is because of various reasons, actually. According to their blog on their MySpace, the band members are not breaking up but looking for a new record

I'm not entirely sure what's going on but I really hope the whole break thing is at most a couple months and then back into the studio with a new label backing them.

i was scared for a second because i just saw on twitter "final show". but they deserve a break. i just hope they're back soon.
