this journal still exists?

wow... i kinda forgot about this LJ. i think it's been at least 9 months.........

finished first year of grad school. one year left then DONE with academia for-freakin-ever!!!!!!

wow... i haven't updated in forever. so much has happened in the last 2 months. some of the most difficult experiences in my entire life, but i'm on the rebound and recovering slowly. things are looking up. my perspective on many things has been altered. i feel like a different person.

life...

made it across the country in 1 piece. been here in dekalb, IL for 1 week. so far, so good...

had a meeting with my 2 NIU percussion professors and the other two grad students... went well, aside from my technical difficulties with iChat. turns out that...

bio class DONE... now onto 3 weeks of philosophy.. then i'm DONE WITH MY BACHELOR'S DEGREE FOREVER.

*how the hell did i get a blister on my elbow?

*i'm getting my own office at NIU! yay! i can store my instruments in there instead of my apartment...

*i'm also going to be conducting/coaching a percussion ensemble piece this fall at NIU... should be pretty cool. need to start looking for something fun...

eh, nothing super exciting to report. have had a few gigs. $$$. yay.

bio class is almost over! 2 weeks left, then i start philosophy for 3 weeks.... 3 crazy weeks, but ONLY 3 weeks...

then one week, and i leave!

i can't wait til i start at NIU!
