There's something inherently awkward about Introduction Posts. Perhaps it's reminiscent of sitting around a circle in grade school, struggling to come up with something brief, memorable, and interesting about yourself for your classmates to remember you by. Or maybe it's because we're all so much more complex than a simple, or even convoluted, ( Read more... )

Good to (sort of) see you again!

I was not around last season. My friend was trying to get me to do it, but I was all nervous about being appealing to strangers on the internet. I'm still kind of nervous about it, but I have other friends doing it with me, and I'm making friends, so it should be okay. Right!? *hides*

And you as well! I look forward to seeing what you have to say. :D

I am glad to see you back, I really enjoyed the entries you did this year and yay for writing during a less stressful time. I am still cramming way to much into one day.

I'm really pleased that people remember the scant handful of things I wrote last round, I'm really excited to give another go of it! Looking forward to reading more of you as well! :)

Good luck with the competition! I actually found my husband through an online dating site, but when I wasn't looking for a relationship.

I've heard a lot of success stories from online dating, but also a lot of hilarious stories of epic failure. I'm pleased it worked for you! I'm not even properly looking for anyone at all- I just still don't know a ton of people in my city and it's fun to meet new people, so I guess I might be in danger of meeting the love of my life, huh?

There is something fascinating about how we meet people and how some people never get the facts, but others get to learn them pretty early on (beyond "where you're from," etc.) I am also picky about guys, but it's to the extent that I don't really date them in the first place.

Good luck!

Thanks! (love the icon!)

And that's so true, some people you just inherently trust, and hope it's not misplaced. And in a way, I do the same, I just try the first 2-3 dates before I decide not to do it anymore, very rarely do I end up "dating" someone.

Internet dating *is* amusing. I got some of the worst dates *ever* from personals sites (ever discover one of your dates was an ex-priest? yeah...) - I also met my other half there. :)

Good to see you back!

LOL, no! I bet that's a helluva story though! I've dated people from a lot of walks of life...but no ex-priests, I'm afraid (I think I would die of laughter if I did!)

I got hit on by a dude who was going to become a priest... before he met me. I think I told you that story.

Ha, it was great story fodder. He was pretty nice, but a bit of a lech. At least the restaurant was good. ;)
