So not cool

I feel like a complete California Moron. (no offense intended to my Cali friend). It rained yesterday. And you know, that qualifies as a Winter Storm here. Traffic comes to a halt and they act like it's frigid. In fact, it rained and was 45-60 degrees.

However, I, moron that I am, managed to hit the wet tiles in front of my building at just ( Read more... )

work, rain in california, number 2, falling on my ass

Have yourself some starlight peppermints for those almost-migraines.

I shall try this. I'm willing to try most anything. I suspect I'm getting them when I get dehydrated. At work I'm good and I suck down all kinds of water. At home on the weekends or if I'm out visiting clients I forget to drink water. However, getting re-hydrated is not enough to shake them.

I knew one of you that suffers real pain would have some suggestions.

It is fun to have someone else on the same track as me. Last time I was all alone and not really up for reaching out to strangers on bulletin boards. My LJ community seems to make you all less strangers. More people who've introduced me to other people. I do wish you'd stop being sick. Seems awfully unfair to you.

I'm excited to have someone I "know" be due around the same time I am. There's tons of us preggos right now, actually. It's a bit freaky.

Eh, I honestly don't mind anymore. I mean, it's uncomfortable, but it doesn't bother me mentally, if it makes any sense. And today we saw the baby, and it's just suddenly all not nearly so bad.

Try a can of icy cold Coke, usually if I do one when I first see the sparkly lights and go somewhere quiet for fifteen minutes, I can dodge any actual pain. But they also seem to help after pain starts.

See, this is why I call them almost migraines. They are just really painful. More like a sinus headache. Except without the snot and in the back of my head and my neck.

I've probably also set myself up for not being saved by this cure because I still allow myself one coke a day. I think they'd be a helluva lot worse without it though:)

Eh. They'll go away or I'll learn to deal.

I do the one coke a day and it still works for me. The fifteen minutes quiet time helps with all sorts of stuff too.

My second pregnancy is better and worse than the first. I still have the GD, the carpal's tunnel, and the continual morning sickness, but none of them seem as bad as the first pregnancy; however, I'm barely ending my second trimester and physically I feel more run down and sore than I did at the end of my first. I'm also suffering because I'm allergic to Christmas trees and they are everywhere. I was lucky that I was not pregnant during December and January the first time.

I hope you start to feel better.

Like I said, none of it is true misery. I suspect it's partly that whatever extra reserve I had last time is taken up by Lily so the tired crabbies are worse.

I hate that you are dealing with the Christmas tree allergy. That has to be miserable.

I am asking them to check for iron deficiency since I have a history of low levels. That would explain the bone-deep tiredness.

I can't believe you are already headed into your third trimester. Has Bug been noticing/talking about it at all?
