I played hooky today and called in sick. I'm not sick but I figured they owe me a personal day since last time I called in sick was about a year ago. I didn't even miss a day when I had a miserable cold that lasted over 2 weeks. It feels great ( Read more... )

yes you did (thank you)and I love that song and the book. I always thought the chapter on Children is especially powerful.

Hooky is an absolute must on an infrequent basis. Good for you!

Sorry to hear you're not appreciated at work ... and as for the 48 bit, you're still a youngster (me too!!! =D) and could probably work circles around a handful of 20 year olds. Ye olde work ethic is worth a lot. So are people skills. If I could hire you, I'd do it in a split second...
