sometimes I am such a badass. my standards for this are so low I'm too embarrassed to share what inspired this post, but rest assured I am undeservedly pleased with myself right now.

thus far, my post college life has been... discouraging.

not gonna lie guys--I kind of really love applying for jobs. writing cover letters is a pain, but the whole experience is so thrilling! I think I like it for the same reason I like taking tests--I love submitting myself to be judged. the best part of today is that tomorrow absolutely has to be better. nothing terrible happened today or anything--it wasn't good, but I've certainly had worse days--but I know overall that tomorrow I will go to bed feeling better than I will tonight, and that has to be worth a bunch.

it is amazing how many stupid, stupid, stupid things I can do in a day.

my culinary choices have become incredibly pathetic over the last couple weeks. like, if it doesn't involve batter or dough of some kind that I can put in the oven and it will magically turn into a happy delicious pastry, I cannot be brought to cook it. I am trying hard to be happy. if I am not always successful and I end up being a pain or needy or unreasonable, I am sorry, but I hope those around me know I am trying and I don't mean to. I know I have a lot to work on, but I am working on it, even if it doesn't always show.
