I loved Bea in The Golden Girls, my mom and I got such a kick out of her.
I used to watch her as Maude too.

I used to watch Golden Girls back when I was only like ... 12-13 years old, lol! Picture it, Sicily, 1928 ... !

I didn't know about Bea Arthur, that's so sad. I loved her as Dorothy. May she rest in peace.

She was my avatar for Gran Longbottom. A formidable woman indeed! I got within a few feet of her years ago at a demo and she was one of the most commanding presences I've ever run into. She was also a great friend to animals and a helluvan entertainer. Rest in peace? No doubt she's causing a stir in the afterlife. Go Bea!
