Burning

Bloody hell. That's awful! :(

I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain, and I hope the surgery is successful!

I've been taking my pain meds sparingly because they cause me to be drowsy and I can't be nodding off during lessons. Today I'll try taking them every 4 hrs as I should be.

Oh honey, I hope the surgery goes ok and that it HELPS. You're owed one HUGE karmic return of happy after all this hell.

*HUGS* I thought about you guys this morning before I read your post since it's so cold. I hope you're all keeping warm. Let me know if you need more stuff, ok?

It also stinks that typing is hard for you, since I'd certainly be willing to rp to keep you occupied if there were forums to do so ;)

Yes, we're managing to keep warm, house is set to 60'. Cold wreaks havoc with arthritis and muscle spasms.

We're good on stuff, thanks for asking. :-)

Yeah, some rp would be fun.

Set to 60? Brr! And to think I was a whiner this morning when I woke up to my bedroom being 61! :(

I've also been trying to think of some fanfic to write but I don't know if it would be HP - maybe I should get back to that Star Wars one I've had on the shelf a few years.

Sheri, this is horrific! Mum was put on lyrica http://www.lyrica.com/ which is supposedly good for nerve pain.

It's available here too. I'll definitely ask my neuro about it. How's your mom doing with it? Is it helping?

It made a WORLD of difference for her. She slept more than normal at first, and went 'away with the fairies' a couple of times, but is now on a lower dose and you wouldn't know. Except that her pain is MUCH less. :~)

Sadly, Lyrica's not covered by the govt. and costs a small fortune here: $89 a packet! She gets $40 back through her medical insurance at least, but it's quite a slug to the hip pocket. (most of mum's doctor-prescribed pharmaceuticals are covered by the govt., so she only pays $5 per script.)

I hope your insurance covers it cos it sounds like it'd be perfect for your pain!

With our new ins. plan, the most we'll pay is $20, so that's not too bad.
