I am entirely to effected by various sorts of media. I watched "what dreams may come" for the first time in a number of years. It is a very strong movie (to me) demonstrateing how powerful love can be. Allowing those possesing it to break all the boundries of life here and beyond. Jeff, Emily and I rode the Huckleberry Railroad last night, their "ghost train" is aimed at families(translation, not scary at all) but there is still a bit of enjoyment to be had from riding on an 1880's era passenger car at night while rocking and rolling down the track ( Read more... )

The performance of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra was absolutely incredible! We had ROW C SEATS, close enough to hear valves clicking on flutes and other similar instruments. The performance was the most relaxing experience I have had in quite sometime. I was left wanting to head straight for New York so that I may attend some shows on Broadway ( Read more... )

I spent this weekend out on the road(railroad that is) with the Milwaukee Road 261 ( www.261.com ). We ran an excursion between Minneapolis and Duluth with another evening excursion out of Duluth shortly after our arrival to Duluth Saturday evening. WHAT A DAY! I spent the day working with Gary Bensman of Diversified Rail Services flanging flue sheets for various locomotives and steam tractors. This, after having spent all week making repairs to the McCabe flanging machine so that it could properly function. And the dreams continue(as mentioned in a previous post). While at the time they are of a most comforting nature once I wake I am left with a feeling of loneliness as I have no one in my life to actually experience that with.

Friends, food and fun times....what more is there to life. Well, ok...lots more I know but let us forget the remaining balance of life for just a short while.
