Let's trying doing this awake.

This Livejournal is written as an exercise in expression; writing without a reader, even anonymous ones, isn't developmentally satisfying for me. You are of course welcome to read and comment to your hearts content, but just know it is in no way expected of you on any level-societal, personal or moral.

Evaluation time, Adam. I promise, no shots. )

I know I might be headed in the direction of unwanted/unwarranted advice but I think I know how you’re feeling because I was in exactly the same place roughly two years ago. The best thing I could have done was to stay single and that’s exactly what I didn’t do. As a result I was in a whole bunch of unhealthy relationships that only made me (and I’m sure the guys) feel a whole lot worse. That being said what you’re going through now may suck on a very large level, but you are doing something very right. After a long relationship you mourn everything, routines, where you were in that relationship (being able to finish each others sentences sort of things), comfort and if you try to fast forward and get back right where you were you either wind up with someone who wants you WAY more than you want them or you’re in a constant comparison with every person that’s not your ex, and not the healthy “wow, you’re such an upgrade, I love you lots and lots” but the “Why the eff are you not my ex?!” kind of comparison. Good luck! I think your writing is very insightful. I have re-learned recently that lasting happiness cannot come from exterior events that happen around us. Happiness is a choice. If you try to chase it, it will act as a carrot stringed in front of a donkey. Choose to feel happy and God cuts the string. You have to deem yourself worthy for happiness. If nothing else, I think you deserve to be happy!

I think you want a damsel in distress.

But there aren't always damsels in distress, and once they're out of distress, you don't have a damsel to save anymore, but you're the hero, so you're always expecting someone OR something to pop out and ruin the day.

Sorry, I was listening to this song and thought of you. You'd so need a girl who's theme song was this. ^_________^
