"Sorry, mate," James breathed, running up and skidding beside Sirius. "Who do you have in mind?" He was still a bit winded, but he wanted to get going, he was anxious for some fun.
"Where were you?" Sirius asked. "Making yourself beautiful?" he looked James up and down. "It didn't work. C'mon, let's go."
They walked toward the portrait hole. "I was thinking Avery and Rosier to start with. They seem to think they could win. And Snape and reg are always good value, if we can find them."
"Was...writing...letter..." he frowned when Sirius told him it didn't work. Once he caught his breath, he spoke again. "At least I don't have leftovers in my hair."
James opened it and stepped through first. "Very good, hold on just a second. I solemnly swear I am up to no good." James searched for the dots and quickly found them. "They're with Narcissa, and they're leaving the library."
"There is nothing in my hair, prat. It's perfect, unlike your bird's nest." But that didn't stop Sirius from checking it quickly in the mirror before stepping through the portrait hole. "And anyway, when did you learn to write, never mind composing a letter? Who's it to?"
He peered over James' shoulder. "Excellent, Rosier and Lestrange junior." Sirius dismissed Narcissa as being of no consequence. Bella was the dangerous sister there.
