Sirius sat at the Gryffindor table contemplating a chess game he was playing with no-one.
He was bored and sat twiddling the black knight between his fingers rather than trying to move it out of harm's way.
He'd already charmed a light snow to fall on the Slytherin table at half hourly intervals, but even that was becoming boring.

When James wakes up the blankets on his bed and the curtains and the floor around his bed are covered in thick luxurious and very green grass.
Courtesy of the rain he'd had dumped on him during the sunburn experience.
Sirius is apologetic that the only heavy rain spell he knew contained grass seed.
