I have made a tentative attempt or two to start this up again.

Such a lot has happened since I started this LJ. I am working again, my Mum is stable, my husband is doing teacher training. My health has improved by leaps and bounds (thanks to prophylactic care and lots of Physio).

I wouldn't know where to start writing about it all!

I think I missed the fact that you can post more at once. FB is fun and I like the games, but really, this has a bit more scope.

 I suppose, like everyone else, we are discussing the vaccine question in Burp, and I am going to tell you my opinion, as I answered.

I think, in these days of good food and adequate housing, people probably don't in general need flu shots. Or, for that matter, many of the passive/active immunisations. Only those with multipathological problems e g ( Read more... )

I had 3 job interviews yesterday. One in Pathology (which went really well!), one in Oncology (which went ok, and they phoned later to say sorry, we took someone with more experience) and one in ENT. We are moving rooms again.

The middle room upstairs has been the computer room, but it is quite large and would be better as the spare room.  So, we are shifting the puters to the back room, having cleared it yesterday.

We've ordered a new double bed for it, and are getting rid of the single bed.

You never stop somehow, with a house.

I have tomorrow off, and I have booked some work to do around the house.

Our fuse box is in the corridor at the side of the house (covered).  These days this is not recommended, so I am having this moved to the living room.  This is going to cost us an arm and a leg,

Please ignore the paint pots, and the masking tape around the frames.  That gives me lots of nice straight lines, but this paint is still wet and I can't remove them yet.

We need a new carpet too, that one is ancient.

But, we are getting there....
