I've just entered a truly exclusive club: people that have washed their cellphones with their pants. I hope that I can live up to the expectations of my exalted peers: _kria_, kieran001, probably some other people that haven't made it quite so obvious.

Take it apart and soak it in rubbing alcohol. It really works, although it's weird.

Soak it apart and turn gin into rubbing alcohol by rubbing it all over your body. It doesn't work, because it doesn't make much sense.

You don't need to take the phone to bits to revive it, but you do need to remove the battery before it turns the traces on the PCB into goo.
Then go with the rubbing alcohol, just make sure it's greater than 90% pure, or it won't be hygroscopic enough to make a difference.
