You are probably too kindly and sane to understand it, but most of us have had moods when one felt like hating every single person in the world and that the only thing to do was to just kill everyone in sight and then go out in a blaze of glory, because life in this fucking world just ain't worth it anyway. These are moods. They strike many people. Most of whom do not live in a country where an idolatrous and nonsensical misreading of an ancient law has turned the possession of death-dealing implements into a citizen's right.

I disagree, as well. One, I do not think that this event was the result of a "mood," and secondly, I don't think that it is either normal or prevalent to be in the "mood" to go on a kiling spree.
