Hey! I stayed home from
Parade of Lost Souls to watch Dexter (s1 is showing "uncut haha" on Bravo, so I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did*) and
Guy Ripley on the set of "I Don't Care." I also stayed home to ensure good weather for everyone attending. Worth it

It's so strange, like. Michael C. Hall, hello! You are compelling with your creepiness, though I miss how squishy you were on 6FU! And the little sister is awesome! And the lieutenant chick also! And his traumatized girlfriend was a crazy vampire on Buffy! I love it all very much :D

And I want to say things about everyone, but I can't because I am sure to say the wrong thing and spoil stuff. But it's one of those shows where there aren't any characters who I like unreservedly, but there isn't a single character who I flat out hate, and I always think that's interesting. And they do some cool stuff with the hero, antihero, and villain tropes. And other stuff.

(I've got pretty much every episode in .avi on my computer. I could upload them or burn them and send them to you. Uploading would probably take longer because I'd have to split the files.)

(Um. Burning would be better? Thank you, ever so much. Do you still have my address? Is there anything I can attempt to do for you?)

S1 of Dexter vvv good. S2 completely lost our interest. Woe.

I shall approach s2 with caution, whenever it comes within reach. Because complete loss of interest would indeed be woeful.

I'm so happy you're liking it! It's a stunningly thinkier-than-I-expected show.

You know, yeah, you're right. I thought about it after I read your comment, and you're totally right (and then I went and watched the one where Rita goes down on him, and then I had to think about it again, lol). I think what I want is more of the characters interacting, because there was some really fantastic chemistry there.
I will save your recs until I've seen the rest of the seasons--this is so totally a show I don't want spoiled!
Police procedurals were invented so that there could be the first several seasons of CSI and Law & Order, the entirety of Homicide, and this show (and some British shows too).

(Procedurals pretty much bore the crap out of me. This one is different. Though I'll consider that another rec for Homicide... that's starting to look tempting)

Homicide was much, much more character-focused than the vast majority of cop shows. it got kind of crappy in the middle, but the first season is solid gold. You should try it for Andre Braugher as Pembleton, if nothing else (just one episode, really). He's awesome.
