Watch this: http://www.peta2.com/OUTTHERE/o-riseagainst_video.asp?int=peta2_enews and then ask me again why I read all the labels in the supermarket before I buy anything

Warning - seriously emotive content

Ugh.

Don't trust anything PETA say. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but PETA have been known to fabricate evidence and harass / physically assault the *families* of people they feel to be contributing to animal mistreatment.

They're a disgusting organisation.

Does that justify lying about what goes on? If people are getting angry about things that don't actually happen, how is it justified for them to respond so vehemently to a 'crime against animals' that just never happened in the first place?

Emotive content and little else. Watching that and saying it's a viable ecological message is akin to seeing a Fox News article and saying it's a truthful and balanced portrayal of world events. Extremism is bad regardless of its cloak.

I agree with reading labels to some extent, but how much do they really tell you? That's my excuse for living on doritos and Aero chocolate these days. I can be pretty sure nothing was harmed in the making thereof. Just looking forward to the day when I've got space for a good sized veg patch, the organic box deliveries are a great idea, but neither particularly cheap nor greatly convenient.

God, that was horrific. It is a real shame that thousands of similar injustices are comitted every day - when will humanity rise up and put a stop to this endless torment?

...

wait a sec

we *are* talking about the track, aren't we?

(Ok, in all seriousness, while i may not approve of PETA's more-than-slightly terrorist attitude to it's campaigns, cruelty on this scale is wrong. Sadly, i feel that it's going to take more than a music video to make Joe Public actually give a damn...)
