YES. okay, honestly, not much else that I can contribute to what you said, but I totally agree! I was pretty disappointed by the ending which seemed waaaay too simple and quite frankly, STUPID, to fit in with the rest of the series. and hello, the whole honma going to jail bit, what the hell, am I supposed to be like, yay it's all better now?! Heh. Glad you shared your thoughts! =D

Oh, I am glad that someone else got the same impression that I did. The rest of the series was actually quite good and rather cunningly done, but then that ending and explanation and... yeah, it just didn't hold enough weight and conviction for me.

So not impressed about him going to jail. And I'm really not a fangirl or anything; I just thought his character was kick ass and it was disappointing to see him fall.

can I ask you... why do you consider this boy so smart in the first place? XD;; and cunning? where was he ever cunning? all he ever did was planning a revenge against the people that didn't even deserve it from him specificaly. He was simply a petty idiot xD; (well, one charming idiot though ( ... )

I haven't seen the first season and I don't really care to, so fair enough on the call that it was all just a copy of that. Whatever ( ... )

Oh, I never said the second season is just a copy of the first one ^^; all I said, that many of the smart points you have about Honma, are actually all thanks to stealing Yamanobe's idea by Honma himself (that's why I even mentioned the thing about first season ( ... )

Sure I saw his outburst of emotions then. Many, many times (laughing hard at his reactions too) saw how the tension of unsolved rotten emotions of eight years exploded inside him. Quite intense and many would call it insanity. It was his peak, getting back on Saejima, because it was like a starting point of his ( ... )

I've never given too much thought to the ending of this drama, even though I do recognize the glaring plot hole that you mentioned. It's probably because I've seen worse. :/ But anyway, what it looks like to me is that the scriptwriters were probably betting on the fact that the audience would start bawling at the end rather than sitting down and analyzing the facts and wondering what went wrong. And like you've said, it is disappointing because everything up that point was well done.
