Its been years since I've written in here. In fact I just remembered it today. In case anyone is curious I am alive and well. I am in Chicago. I am almost done with school.

Its been a long time. Summer is over. It was pretty normal. I went to Guatemala again in July. I turned 20, and finaly left my teen years behind. I searched and found an apartment in Chicago, and moved in partialy. I'm finishing the move this weekend, and school at UIC starts monday. Wish me luck, I hope everything goes well.

went bowling yesterday. did poorly, it just showed me how extremely out of practice i am.

we are remodeling my room, it makes me feel as though no one believes i will ever move away from this house again.

feel far away from just about everyone/everything

i smell like coffee all the time.

Very horrible day. I don't really even know what to think right now. I just found out about the amount of devastation Tropical Storm/Hurricane Stan has caused to Guatemala. The town that I was in just three months ago has been hit very hard, and many people were killed in the mudslides. I guess the clinic I worked in every day is standing in mud up ( Read more... )

It seems the month of september is well on its way. I truck along doing school and work, and not much else. Kind of boring, not much to look forward to. Except going to see Atmosphere in October. How exiting. I think that is all for now. Adios.

When I returned from Guatemala I was quickly pushed back into the swing of things in Naperville, that is not very enjoyable. The job at school finished yesterday, which is relieving, but also signifies the beginning of the end of summer, which is very sad. I leave for Guatemala tomorrow night! I am getting very exited, and nervous. It seems like yesterday I found out I was going to get to go, and now it's happening tomorrow. Anyway, I'll be gone from the 8th through the 16th so pray for me. See you all when I get back.

I got the job at starbucks! Wooo! Exiting times. I start working at the school tomorrow and my first joblike stuff is friday for starbucks. This is the beginning of many weeks of work for me, but I like it. This is also the week of birthdays...well at least two birthdays. And my birthday is one month from today! I saw the movie Millions last night. It was directed by Danny Boyle, who also directed 28 days later and trainspotting, and it was written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, who also wrote 24hour party people. Anyway I recommend that you go see it, it was pretty good, and there were some really beautiful shots in it.
