My mother and sister refused to turn up, some people are so rude! Just because they are half a world away in America they think that that is some excuse….

At least it's less pagan than sparing Mother Nature's creatures by eating tofu and greens! :-)

We did have potato salad but the green salad we planned didn't happen. No one complained.

We did get many compliments, the best being from dad:

"Just a note to say thanks for the Chrisssy lunch
you did good,
the table looked fabulous ....
a special congratulations to Allen slaving away there in a hot kitchen ...." etc

However, no one has yet said that it looked yummier than a hotel complimentary continental breakfast - well really, you are too kind! And to say it looked more entertaining than FOX news, oh sucks, nothing could be that good.
