Sorry it’s been so long since I updated. Here is the just of it, I now have a baby boy, and his name is Patrick.

He was born on the 10th of June, just two days after his due date, or one day according to the birth centre. Not bad timing, no one in my family has ever been on time for anything before.

I decided I would read this weeks entry in the “Up the Duff” pregnancy book. It is a largish book with a thick spine. I am a ward clerk. (That is pronounced “CLARK”, I know that Americans say “CLERK”, but that is NO reason for Australians to follow suit.) It is said that way because, like “sergeant” or “Derby”, the spelling was fixed before the Great Vowel Shift between middle and modern English.
