So alot has happened and sorry i have not posted. Got the ex served finally with papers for divorce, now she wants to fight everything which i figured she would, she is influenced by her family which sucks cause they all have there own issues. So basically in the papers i put Joint with visitation for me every other week, she cant leave the state ( Read more... )

Divorce... that's got to suck. Sorry to hear it's so messy.

I think it's good that you want to be a part of your kids lives. That is very important. My dad walked out on my mom before I was even born. So you need to def. fight it. The courts will recognize that you want to be a good dad. Just keep a good job, and don't get into trouble with the law. LoL.

yeah i must admit even though i don't know you personally, i WOULD be kinda mad to read you were ok w/ letting your kids and her leave, so i'm proud you're going to fight that shit! i completely agree that if the father is, ya know...sound of mind and no threat to the kids, they should at least be able to see him if they want to, or if they're too young to make that descision, should see him until they can decide for themselves.

Hey! Sorry your soon-to-be ex is being difficult.

I used to work for an attorney who deals with divorces, but I am sure that Indiana law and Washington law are totally different so I wouldn't be much help to you.

Anyways, I think it's a noble thing for you to want to stay in your kids' lives. Most guys I know aren't like you, but then again you're more mature than most guys I know.
