More importantly, welcome to the very edge of "the second stage" of Season 6 of LJ Idol. Some would say the Better Half. ;)
Hey, wait - that was the topic this week. It's just like someone planned for something like this to happen. . . weird!!!
We started with 240 contestants this season. Earlier today ladymako71 let me know that she would need to be dropping out due to that ever dreaded Real Life.
Of the nearly 40 contestants who have used up their byes, we are saying goodbye to 6 of them. The others continue to hang in there, battling it out to keep alive in the competition week after week.
The 6 who "byed-out" this week are:
bakerlooline
bewize
douchejuice
meee_tooo
florida-phoenix aka florida_phoenix
so_small
But why are we covering this in the Voting post? Isn't there usually a second post with Tribal Immunity? Yeah - that was so 2009. Like tribes named after the contestants that formed them. Tribal Immunity is no longer up for grabs and tribes have been reshuffled based on friends list size *when you signed up*. (In the case of newly writing journals the actual journal was used and factored into overall performance during the last few weeks to place contestants appropriately)
It should make things interesting. Hmmm - while we are at it -
This particular vote is Friends Only. Unlike most Idol polls, you DO have to join to vote.
Not enough?
The bottom two vote getters in each poll will be eliminated
Still not enough? The ones not eliminated will have to battle monkeys, in their PJs! (the contestants will be in their own PJs, not the monkeys and not the monkey's PJs... oh hell with it - they will be be battling in the monkey's PJs, which is probably why the monkeys are so upset!!!)
Well, maybe not that last part. Although - maybe.
This means this particular vote is going to give us our TOP HALF of Season 6!!! Not bad for the first poll of 2010.
Voting will close Monday Jan 11th at 9pm EST. The fate of your favorite entries - the decision on who will be able to say that they made it to the (numbers wise) half-way point is in your hands. Get out there, read the entries and support your favorites. Lots of great stuff.
