my roommate, casey, and i were talking about men and women we've had crushes on in the past. sure, we all have someone we liked to look at or talk to but knew nothing would ever come from it. i've thought boys and girls were cute but i would never want to go 'there' with them. harmless eyecandy really. i've only had one true 'crush' so to speak

I had a few of those crushes...there was this girl in college. Long red hair, lovely smile, amazing body...and she wore this perfume that had been chemically engineered to cause my brain to stop functioning. I had a class where she sat just behind & to the side of me...I almost failed because I could never, ever concentrate in that class.

The thing is...I'm ten times more confident now than I was a decade ago...I wouldn't even blink about asking her to dinner or something now. Occasionally, I wonder if it's not a bad thing that the world isn't as magical & powerful to me now as it was then.

the last three major crushes I have had all turned out to be phony fakes. I am trying to get a handle on if that says more about them or more about me? I need to wipe off that 'Infatuated Stalker Obsessive Compulsive Gullible' tattoo on my forehead

I was QUEEN of the crushes. Elementary, jr. high, high school, college, I always had some unattainable guy that I was mooning over. One guy in high school wouldn't give me the time of day (football player) because 1. I wasn't in the right clique and 2. Word was out that I didn't put out. His friends thought I was hot though and would yell, "Bill's an idiot!" when they saw me in the halls. :D

Oh and about 5 years later I saw him at a bar and he was all over me. No sir, nuh uh, you missed your chance buddy.

I dated most of my crushes...of course after years of being their friend...the only crush I never dated I ended up living with and well, i lost my crush on her and she is my best friend
