where's the beef?

there is nothing worse than ordering a beef enchilada, biting into it.. and tasting chicken. ::shudder:: i'm very picky when it comes to eating chicken. i certainly will not eat chicken from a fast food restaurant, chinese restaurant, mexican restaurant.. no, ANY RESTAURANT FOR THAT MATTER.. except beauregard's hot chicken wings.. that's it ( Read more... )

Meat is pretty much the only food category that I'm severely fussy about.

I can't handle ground beef. At ALL. Ground any meat, basically, though I force myself sometimes. Tonight, for instance, I'm making lasagna with ground italian sausage. I'll eat it.

I'm the same with brats. I love the taste, but one hard-ish piece, and I'm finished, probably for months or more.

I love chicken skin. LOVE it. And chicken breasts. Yum. I like to buy the whole rotisserie chicken, and slice up the breasts for us, and then pick out ONLY the yummy meat and make chicken soup with it. Yum. But my bro doesn't like chicken, so I understand.

I like my steak medium rare or rare. Yum. Not the fat...yuck.

And sushi..mmmm....I'm craving it again....mmmm.

But I am not big on the ground meat. :( It hides scary stuff. That's my fear.

it's funny, jess.. i used to be the same way about ground beef.. it still gets me sometimes but i'm not bad anymore.

dude, i've been craving lasagna.

I wonder if I'll get better about ground beef someday? It's hard to imagine right now, lol, but as a kid, I wouldn't touch steak (and now I love it), so who knows?

Sushi...you love it, too? Yum. I pretty much just like the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, shrimp, and crab, though. I'm fussy even about sushi! lol. Which is your favorite?

i LOVE salmon, tuna, and crab.. i've never had yellowtail, i've seen you talk about it but have yet to try it.

mmm.. medium rare. The only way to eat steak. BLOODY.

I remember having pork at a chinese place and biting into a piece and it was all fat. Ick. I don't like the fat. I'm iffy about chicken unless it's at a really nice restaurant.

I'm still stuck on this butter thing.. I think I'll ask next time I go out for steak.. find out if they put butter on steaks on Vancouver Island.

I'm just the opposite. I LOVE chicken. But only white meat chicken that hasn't been smashed together in some form. If it is obviously breast of chicken it's all good. Any other kind of chicken is the yuck.

I don't ever order beef at mexican food places. You want to talk about mystery meat? Ground beef could be anything. At least with chicken breast in my taco I know it's really chicken MEAT and not just "parts".

I even have a difficult time eating beef fajitas because they tend to be gristly. Nothing turns my stomach more than biting into gristle. EW!

That said, I still love fast food hamburgers. Otherwise, the only kind of beef I'll eat is a filet steak because it's lean, not marbled, and almost never has any gristle.

I like cooked chicken. Skin. Dark meat. White meat. Everything. All but the gizzards and necks and giblets and the pope's nose and heebeegops and the gross stuff. I like it ground up. Ilike it presed into nuggets. I like it cut in strips. I like it presed into burger patties. I like it fried. Baked. Broiled. Stuffed. Sauteed. Shaved. I like it cut up chinese style. I like it whole. I like wings. I like drum sticks. I like breasts. I like thighs. I like chicken almost any way you could prepare it.

I like all meat except for crab and bivalves.

Oh and I like my beef medium rare. mmmmm.

Dude you have to try the neck when its deep fried.Takes the consistency of jerky and the flavor is indescribable.

Went from 15 guys trying to throw it away , to ten guys trying to get one last piece of it.
