I apparently have gotten it into my head that I must make everything. The latest venture was Abby's christening dress, which I finished yesterday. I have only worked with wool and linen in my sewing adventures in the SCA, so this was my first time with satin and lace. Also first time installing a zipper and using actual bias tape. Baby B is most active late at night. Last night, s/he was wiggling well past 1 am. This spells trouble for us after s/he arrives on the scene. There's already a bit of wiggling going on now. Like the docs keep saying, we have a very active baby.

Things are generally becoming more and more positive lately.  My pregnancy is going well (the baby is healthy, at least, even if I'm having a rough time), my back is healing, I'm generally happier.  However, it keeps coming to mind that the baby I lost in March would have been due about now.  We had an ultrasound Wednesday, and this baby looks ( Read more... )

I took a shower without any assistance today, and drove a car for the first time since injuring my back. Driving certainly is making itself felt already, but I did it! And though I threw up Sunday and yesterday, I didn't today, so the weekly Wednesday morning sickness is taking a break. Like I said, small victories.

Managed to throw out my back on Wednesday during a morning vomit session. This kid is a real brat already. Despite much heat, ice, Tylenol, and muscle relaxer, I'm not feeling any better. This sucks, a lot.

I'm sure I'll get through this, and that every bit of it will be worth it when I'm holding my baby, but right now, I'm straight up miserable.

I know I have a few word meme assignments outstanding, work has kept me very busy this week, so don't worry, I have not forgotten!
