Bah, I know what you mean about the work, and the wishing you had mail so you didn't have to actually confront the work. I have a chetload of summer assignments that have to be finished by next week before I leave, and I just can't bring myself to do them! Now Wednesday is over, marking the beginning of the end of the week, and that creeping "I'M SCREWED, WE'RE ALL SCREWED, I'M NOT GONNA MAKE IT!!!!" feeling is coming on again...
