Why healthcare in this country is horrible

I don't know any poison that will give you a bacterial infection. The worse thing your Dr. could do is expose you to the bacteria... which, if your immune system was working, should fight it off anyway. Oh, and not give you real antibiotics, but since those come from the pharmacy anyway, its unlikely that he would write you a bogus prescription. So I think your parents are paranoid. Its not unusual to develop allergies as you age either.

Yeah well the problem with some of the medications is that one of the side effects is weight gain

btw... all the *really* good doctors are the ones who usually have a wait for appointments :-P but there are good ones that do walk-ins too.

hopefully this one cured whatever the hell you have. i think this is the same issue you've been having all summer and that it's just never cleared up.
