There is no shame in welfare, so long as you are making strides to escape it. Such as school. The system is in place for a reason, not just to support junkies and hobos.
Diplomatic and proper usage of hatred can be quite a productive and good thing. Unfortunately, hatred can be all-consuming, no matter how justified or properly wielded it may be... though not having to deal with Jamie's mother in any direct sense on a regular basis is certainly a good shield. Fewer ulcers and blackouts that way.

Yeah, sorry about that. I've been needing to rant a lot. Jamie's conversational skills have become secondary to the pregnancy as have all other things. How you doing on getting a new phone? And yeah, we won't be on welfare forever. But I will hate her mother forever, as the woman will predictably make no effort to be a redeemably decent human being. And this hate, while it doesnt consume me, I feel is very natural because it stems from the need to protect my family first and foremost. Finals are almost over, I'll probably be online more often. Let me know how yer doing.
