Say goodbye to Hollywood

Dec 06, 2012 01:05

I'm sitting in the Phoenix airport waiting for my connecting flight home, so I figured this would be a good time to write about the rest of my LA trip!

Sunset Boulevard, twisting boulevard, secretive and rich, a little scary )

actually it's just stalking, it's not stalking if it's research, los angeles

Ha ha, well I guess it qualifies as a "nice" restaurant. If you're looking for something more affordable, there's always In 'n Out :-) Since it was a business trip, I can get reimbursed for my meals. The problem is, we have to provide an itemized receipt and my receipt says only the following:
- ADVENTUROUS
- LOCAL
- COURAGEOUS
Hmmm. Not sure what accounting will think of this...

lol honestly, i'd say you got the LA experience pretty well nailed -- expensive food, ridiculous driving, cops, and motherfucking coyotes. Check that off the bucket list. XB

OMG OMG OMG. LAMILL. I MISS THY COFFEE. SO FANTASTIC. and yeah it's not too expensive, and as you said, most yummy ever. i think i spent like $100 there when i was in LA, going there every day once (...or twice....)

also, these 'hills' you drove through, i don't think it was hollywood hills, but los feliz! it's quite a hilly area as well (and really lovely... haww i gotta move out there)

I'M GLAD YOU HAD SUCH A SPLENDID TIME! ♥

Yes, Lamill was delicious! I would definitely have liked to spend some more time there (like....an entire day....). I was definitely in the Hollywood Hills at some point, but I think I also drove through Los Feliz. I loved being able to go to all these places and nieghborhood's that I've heard of (and written about) but had NO idea what they were actually like!

well i can say you can certainly spend at least half a day in lamill (longer would have been... weird hahaaahahahaa.. and creepy. very creepy)

los feliz is so lush :(( i'd give anything to have a wee house there! or in silver lake. just in LA, okay? IT WILL HAPPEN. SOME DAY. i shall remain positive and confident about it.

so you think, after you've been to some of the places that you'd only read about, it is now easier to write about it?
i certainly got that feeling once i was back home again.

also, MERRY CHRISTMAS MY DEAR!!! hope you had a lovely couple days with your friends & family!

i think it will be both easier and harder to write...easier because I know more details...but harder because i won't want to make stuff up (not that i ever made stuff up, of COURSE ;-)

thanks for the christmas wishes, bb. same to you and have a happy new year. here's to Los Angeles in 2013! :-D
