We've only been at the Den since late last year. Before that we were at Slainte Irish Pub for six months and before that at XandO Cafe for six years and before that, briefly at Paloma's, which is now Eden's Lounge. I've been a slam host with a great team for around five years now. Unfortunately, we have not been that strong a poetry scene for at least the past year, maybe even two, and just cannot sustain ourselves. Maybe one day we can reform, our scene yet reenergized, but that is not today, unfortuately. Thanks for you concern, even if I neglected to mention that I was a part of it!

I'm sorry to hear this but understand. I am only confused taht there are people pouring out of the woodwork with expressions of frustration as the economy is in the toilet. Shouldn't 8 years of Bush leave people begging for outlets? Guess not.
