new word i learned today. yay!
i was cataloging some wedding photos today and one of the photos was of a "Gullah Choir." i didn't know what gullah referred to, so i liked it up. fye:

The Gullahs are interesting, and according to my cousin who used to live close to them, pretty annoying. Then again, my cousin isn't the most patient person in the world, or that appreciative of cultural differences.

wow, i think that would be neat, but that's me, not your cousin. oooo. guess what? turns out the are of nyc that my hotel and all is in, is a 'vegan mecca'. i've been getting recs all day from one of the vegan eljay communities. woot woot. the next four weekends are going to be GREAT. this weekend is nyc, next weekend robby and i are making thai food and LISA IS COMING and the next week i am going to greenville which robby. i love going to greenville. =) and then the NEXT week, my friend hannah from huntsville should be coming for a visit. i don't have time for all this class stuff! pushah. =) please please please enjoy the sake bombs for me this evening. =)

Oh yeah, the Gullah are interesting. They were featured (kinda) in that terrible Mel Gibson movie The Patriot. At least, I think they were supposed to be Gullah.

i'd never heard the term before and the language is so interesting being a creole of english and african lanuages. i did see the patriot, but i remember being grossed and not liking it. i'm not a fan of mr. gibson.
