All will be revealed! They did indeed have horses there then. I'm not sure how they ended up there but certainly the Iceni were horse trainers (but in the southeast of England). They had war chariots and horse images have been found on Pictish stones. I think they were brought north by the Celts. But horses go way back in human history and there will be all sorts of other sources and crossed lines and so on :D
I'm glad you're keen! I must say this story is quite hard to write; I've never written anything remotely like it before. So updates will be sporadic at first! But I hope to speed up :) Thanks for your comment x)
I feel crap about the delay in updating, but just a little note to let you know that I *finally* managed a third chapter... It's been horrific going lately. Ch3 still isn't perfect, but it's as good as I could get it :) I'm sorry, and I hope you haven't lost interest!
Hi! Hope you're not still camping - it's rained a lot in the last five and half months... I'm really sorry that it took me this long to update, but thank you so much for your comment!
I'm so late, so so late, but I finally caught up with this! Sherlock's deductions about John, holy shit, life was harsh with poor John. This is fantastic and I'm intrigued by the case, I've been looking at those numbers for a while now. Can't wait to read more, I'm hooked! :D
Don't worry about the numbers too much - well, do a bit, they're important, but they're not something anyone could actually figure out unless they knew what they were for :)
I can only apologise, repeatedly and miserably, for the delay in responding/updating :(
*gloomy* At least there aren't six months gaps between parts of Spartacus! But I'm happy you liked it (hope you remembered what air is eventually ;D ) and hope you enjoy the update x)

curious on the meaning with the numbers. how did sherlock know john was a horse trainer (did they have horses in scotland then?)?
