hey --

If it's shutting right off with no error or clicks or noises or anything, definitely something weird with the computer. One trick that sometimes works is unplug the power, take out the battery, and press the power a bunch of times. Also look for a recessed "reset" button on the underside and press it if possible. If that fails, wrapping your computer in plastic and putting it in the freezer can sometimes work! (if it was just the hard drive I would suggest removing it and doing it by itself). I know it sounds crazy but it does work... but if not, then you can still get stuff off of your laptop hard drive.. you could get a converter from Starkville Computers (possibly) that would let you plug your laptop hdd into a usb drive and get anything off of it, or you could order one online. If you have any computer nerd buddies they could probably help!

PS - have you ever laid a guilt trip on biomom? Sometimes its good for them to realize how much their actions hurt, instead of you bottling it up inside!

I've actually almost caught up to where I was in my work by this point. I was up here pretty late last night working on it.
As for biomom... guilt trips don't work. I've spoken plenty of times. It doesn't matter. She'll always be who she is.
