Living Room [Post Meeting] !!Revised

[ Nathan Petrelli is going to make a broadcast over revealing his powers -- this is officially the reaction thread to that situation. Instead of multiple threads, this is a single reaction to the fact that he essentially outed the mutant portion of the Outworlders. ]

[Claire knows her dad has a press conference tonight since...she's nosy and knows his life schedule or something, so she's glad that there's a tv and enough interest among the others there to sit and watch.

And what there is to be seen causes her to be surprised. Very, very surprised, because she hadn't thought her dad would actually be capable of something like that.

So, from her place on the floor, she just grins like an idiot and curls her legs in close to her chest, her arms wrapping around them as she does so.

Yep, she's pretty proud of her dad right now.]

[Sean watches most of that with raised eyebrows and... other than the returning from death part, waiting for the man to actually say something that's not words strung together.

... and then Petrelli takes off, and Sean straightens, then laughs and hoots.]

If this was New York, he'd be shot dead any day now. Dude can fly, but he ain't exactly invincible.[ And he's gonna drink some more of that good beer. Reason #1 why he's actually even talking to you, gingerface. ]

But hey, lucky for the Senator -- he's in space where people come come back from the dead and yet, everyone's freaking out about this Sylar guy?

You know, if this is what the rest of my time here is gonna be like? Then I'd really like him to fucking kill me. Beats hanging around here with you people.

[Kurt happens to hear him and he looks over to John.]

No one is asking you to stay here, Pyro. You know where the door is.

I don't know if this will bring the right kind of attention to us, as if any of it has been so far.

[Sean is still amused, despite the guy's comment - not that he's sure if it's correct one way or the other. But his lips do twitch up at the blue guy, and no, he's not bothered by the look at all, not after Raven and Hank.]

All right, so, I'm the new guy here - you mean however long people like us have been around, this wasn't known?

[After a moment's thought, he adds,] I'm not sure if he endangered all the outworlders, regardless of whether they have special gifts or not, or only himself.

Judging by peoples reaction, I'm guessing the answer is no. At least, not that there are quite a few of us, and sorry, but I don't hide who I am, that doesn't mean I appreciate the attention.

As if being an Outworlder wasn't bad enough, now the chances are we'll have more anger for being different. For being more of a threat.

[He looks at Sean and offers a slight smile.]

Time will tell.

[these_fish]

That's true, isn't it. [Raises his glass of drink in the direction of the blue guy.] So, nobody here has such special abilities?

I mean. [First things first. Ish.] I'm Sean. Banshee.

[Excuse him if he just stares for a moment with a curious look. Then he shakes his head and holds out his hand.]

Kurt, or Nightcrawler if you want codenames.

I can. If not quite as neatly as what we saw. And I'm not sure if there'll be material here to do what Hank rigged for me, but it should be possible.

[Beat. And then his eyes narrow.]

... Em. Do you know me from the future too or something?

I'm sure it'll be easy enough to get you similar materials to make the costume.

[He pulls a face that reads unsure.]

A version of you. A much different version of you. We joined the X-Men around the same time, and you were older. More Irish.

... and has a daughter? [All right, Sean checks the whining note from his voice pretty quickly, then smiles a bit.]

The Irish comes if I've spent more time at home, like at the end of summer break.

[Beat. And then.] A different version of me?

[He hums as he thinks about it.]

I'm sure I come from a different version of Earth. Trust me, this might eventually make sense if you run into the same problems we have, time travel, parallel universes. We were team mates for a while.

I mean, not the team mates part, you seem all right. The parallel universes and time travel parts, though, that's still a bit much to take.

[Processing... processing... Uh-oh.]

Em. So... how many people here come from the future and know me from there?

Being honest? I have no idea. I think only me and maybe Deadpool? [Everyone else knows your daughter, sorry.]
