Living Room [Post Meeting] !!Revised

[ Nathan Petrelli is going to make a broadcast over revealing his powers -- this is officially the reaction thread to that situation. Instead of multiple threads, this is a single reaction to the fact that he essentially outed the mutant portion of the Outworlders. ]

It was... a couple of weeks ago. [Perspective. Let's have it...] I'm pretty sure that doesn't count as history yet, it's still journalism...

[Eyes the new position, but his focus is on the words.]

Ugh. What has it been like, so far? Being an Outworlder, I mean? Do people actually treat you different on the street and such?

I'm from over 30 years into your future.

[His lips form into a tight line.]

When they know you're an Outworlder, yes. It's been hard. I mean, I don't get stared at for my appearance which is nice, but we've had a riot. You have to find sympathetic people to get jobs. Or so I've heard.

[these_fish]

Yikes. That's.... a lot. [Sean looks around at the others gathered in the apartment.] That must make it... interesting, with some of the company.

[For a moment, Sean's face softens.] That must be a nice break. [He can just imagine how relieved Raven or Hank would be in a place where people don't stare for how they look. It can't be all that different for Kurt, right? Not that Sean is staring, but he's had time to adjust.

... and then that part makes him sit up.] A riot? Is everybody all right?

[All of a sudden, looking around the room makes him wonder who else could have been there. That's kind of scary.]

Oh yeah, you can say that again. Sometimes it's a headache. Especially when I know them, or a version and they don't know me back. It's interesting though, knowing there's so many different verses.

[He smiles and holds his hands out, wiggling his two fingers and bending his thumb.]

It's a welcome change, I don't let the reactions back home bother me any more, or I try not to. I am who I am and God allowed me to be this way.

Most people are now. My wounds have pretty much all gone and those that passed away have returned. Which is something I doubt I'll get used to.

Though, that does make it twice my life has been saved from an angry mob by Charles.

[He smiles and shakes his head.]

Things have...settled.

Like me. [Sean's mouth twists sideways, but his eyes twinkle a little.

... annnd then his face softens and he straightens a little, bowing his head down.] Yes, you are. [Quietly.] We all are as He made us.

[Deep breath.] I will... keep that in mind. Angry people are very difficult to reason with, unfortunately.

Like you. But as I said, it is interesting, you're both different people and the same at the same time.

There wasn't any reasoning with some of those people.
