i have hyacinth to plant in the garden.

but it rains and rains and rains.

and then. the lavender too.

tomorrow

i think i am going to buy myself a little hyacinth.

just for here. on my window sill outside.

maybe it'll make the rain feel that much more like spring.

It must be nice,
growing old with you.

hmmm.

is that a compliment or a cynical remark?

i'm growing old fast enough. don't need to think about that part yet.

mind you. i think that's all we ever do want in a sense. someone to grow with us.

just like that little hyancith.

from hyacinth's to star trek.

oh, are we good or are we good?

my fellow warrior.

[although i'll honestly admit. me and star trek never really were friends. i have my big brother to blame for that.]

Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's blue, dilly dilly,
Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, and soon I'll see you, dilly dilly

{giggle}

That's you get from watching children's TV too much.

(I'm so excited about it, Angi, nearly beside myself about it.)

me too. i was just talking to a friend about it this morning on the phone.

oh. and now you've got me saying...

lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's blue, dilly dilly.

and on and on we go.

i'm seeing walks in the park. sitting along the thames. doing girly things. lots of coffee and tea. endless conversations and you're not getting away with it. but there'll be playing with the camera. oh. and old book stores finding lost treasures. and maybe, just maybe finding your book on a shelf?

lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's blue, dilly dilly.

and i'm not even watching children's tele very much.

Do you want to come to Portsmouth with me, too, for some evening walks on the beach? Hee hee, I have no idea if walks on the beach are possible in Portsmouth! I do know it's the 'gateway to the Isle of Wight'.

Yes, yes, all those things you've mentioned and more. I almost cry with happiness when I think about it.

And about the camera - well, I need some better author pics, so you're very welcome to click away. There's nobody I'd rather be photographed by.

So funny that it's spring there. Autumn here, and quite a hot autumn at that.

i've never been to portsmouth. that would be lovely.

my impression was, it is very much by the sea. i just need the water. the open. the breeze.

i'm working on my little i'm off to england jar now.

photographs. you have no choice i'm sorry to say. even if we just play. and snapshots like a memory book evolve. a scrapbook of far away places and two friends.

oh happy me.
