Most certainly her doing; not that she knew herself, but her mitochondria certainly saw the danger, sending tendrils of unseen energy and trying to resonate with his unstable genetic makeup. They were none too happy with the man’s presence. “I… I did.” He wasn’t just human. He was predator - of some mutant sort no less. She took a step backward on a shaky foot, then another, counting with each breath the distance between her and the nearest object small enough to throw. Her eyes in co-operation focused in on his every move. Every twitch every step, every small little shake of his head. And. Right. On. Time. BAM. Suddenly her hand went flying for the tin lid of a rubbish bin, knocking it with almost enough force to create a decent sized dent. It flew out of it’s usual depression and headed straight for Alex’s head; a decent distraction enough for the blonde to turn on a heel and run.
Alex hadn't noticed her slow retreat at first, but when he focused his attention on her again, he was suddenly greeted by a cylinder object hovering toward his face. He'd had enough of his own will power to quickly dodge its attack, but that's when he saw the blonde running.
And the heat quickly died down returning Alex to a comfortable body temperature; more importantly, control over his arms again. It was definitely her doing that, Alex was sure of it, but now she was getting away.
