I'm back from Cornwall! And crashed into a large amount of work ahshsjsjdnb.

Yeah, I officially have exactly a month now until my dissertation is due which means I've had to give up pretty much all net distractions. I'll still be commenting and stuff as that doesn't talk up much time, but I don't have the brainspace for anything more complicated ( Read more... )

Good luck! With both the interview and the dissertation. :D

Thank you! I am feeling in an alright place about both at the moment. We'll see how that develops after Friday :p

Oh man, really? Ah well. He does have quite a few things to keep afloat, so I guess rambliness was inevitable!

They kind of become like HP5 - good books, but could stand to be shorter. In the latest book there are entire chapters filled with a character doing administrative tasks. I mean, seriously.

... that's not to say you shouldn't read them! They really do contain fantasticness. There's just a bit of work to get to that point.

It's possibly my favourite two comics panels ever, closely followed by her declaration of love to her husband: http://pics.livejournal.com/thewaterbandit/pic/0007zkag/ .

I love it when tough characters can convey their emotions without breaking down into weepy piles. Big Barda should have her own comic (or maybe she does? I've been out of the mainstream comics scene for awhile).

Sadly, she's dead at the moment. However with the value attached to comic book death I'm confident she'll be back sooner or later. Barda's too awesome to stay dead.
