I didn't hear back from the gift shop job all day. Even though they said they'd contact me whether I got it or not to give me feedback.

So that's that then.

Thanks! I'm applying for stuff nearly every day at the moment, so this is really only a minor setback but I did quite want this job :p

I did call them this morning and they promised to ring back tomorrow, so fingers crossed! It totally sucks! Unfortunately everyone seems to think they can mess unemployed people around at the moment. ):
