Instert fus ro dah joke here

So Skyrim has pretty much eaten my brain completely: I should have known, for in the dark days of Oblivion I must have played that game more or less exclusively for about half a year, but there it is. This game is like sweet, sweet crack to me and I can't see myself playing anything else until Mass Effect 3 comes out (I did buy and play Assassin's ( Read more... )

here is the news, skyrim, dragon age 2

Eh, it's not the only reason. I was job-hunting when I got into Origins, and when I found a job, I think I maybe got more obsessed with it because I needed to vent frustration from job/commute. *g*

I'm still debating buying Skyrim but I play on PC and I'm afraid I'll end up with yet another game I can't play because I can't figure out the keyboard controls and my one controller is cheap crap. (Both ME games, the original Assassin's Creed. WOE.) But ... I sort of want to actually understand your Skyrim fic on Tumblr...

Haha! Maybe so! When I was working at John Lewis I was just too tired to play video games, frustration or no.

I would highly recommend Skyrim (of course I would) but I have no idea what it's like on the PC as I play on xbox. I'd also like to apologise for spamming everyone with Skyrim fic on Tumblr. I don't mean to! It just sort of happens.

Oh, stop apologising. The writing is brilliant. Just I don't know where the story's coming from so I have no idea. You wouldn't make me apologise for the times I spam DA fic, would you?

...would you?...

Skyrim ate all of December for me. It's like...the perfect game. I just don't even. Also I agree with you on AC--I thought Revelations was a shameless attempt at money-making honestly. It brought...almost nothing new to the table. I'm excited to see what AC3 will be about.

How are you liking a Dance with Dragons? I'm about halfway done with it--christ this series is long. XD

Revelations really added nothing we didn't already now, and it was v. disappointing ): I did like some bits: Ezio was a delight to spend time with, as always, and seeing Altair again was great (I was one of those weirdos who quite liked AC1), but I'll only be revisiting for multiplayer. I feel a bit like Skyrim is so good that it's spoiled other games for me a bit!

I am like... not even a quarter of the way through yet! It's so BIG. But I am liking how we see some events from a different perspective, and it's good to have Tyrion bits again to look forward to.

It really didn't. I could really write a book on its shortcomings and pandering to fangirls. I was very, very unimpressed. RE: AC1, you're not weird at all for liking it. XD I really liked it--I thought it was a little harder to get into than the second one, but I thought the setting was great, and I think for what they attempted it was awesome.

Yeah, I agree. I thought the fourth book was a little difficult to get through--I cannot for the life of me bring myself to give any shits about the Martells. XDD But yes. When we finish the 5th book, we should discuss the series. I've been looking for people to hassle about it. XDD
