Stuck in the zone

Are you stuck in the zone? I know I am. Now that I think about it, I've never been out of the zone. What zone you ask? The Friend Zone. The zone dreaded by all guys, that place where a guy gets banished to because he doesn't treat girls like shit. Based on the people who (I think) read this journal, your likely to either be stuck in the zone ( Read more... )

Just look at it like this man, you're tossing it out there. They either take it, or they don't. They don't, they miss out. Someone else will get what they could have had. All you have to have is some patience.

Of couse, not getting the one you want will hurt for a little while. But hey, plenty of fish in the sea.

And as for the whole "Friend Zone" thing. I prefer to call it the "Staging Area" You just have to work it for a while. Relationships don't come easy.

And stop listening to Dave Matthews, then you'll feel better.

The only thing with acutally going out with the girl is that after the two partners split up, things are sometimes awkward.

For example, when I broke up with my guys, afterwards I thought fairly poorly of them. That's not right of me, I know. But I just did. And now that I look at it, I'm not as willing to trust them. Even less than I did before we went out.

Moreover, it's better to be in the Friend Zone than be in the Bastard Boyfriend Zone like you-know-who from that whole prom mess.
(Fairly glad I don't have to hear about or see him around my school. Heh.)

And when it comes to being loved and alone, I know that simply saying "You mean a lot to me" doesn't make it any better. I realise that. I also know that I've done a shitty job of being a friend. But you're still one of the best friends I've ever had, and one of the ones I trust the most.

But if you do come back down here for Christmas, let me know. I have to make time to spend with you, because I refuse to go still more months without seeing you again ( ... )

I know how you feel about the whole "Friend Zone" thing. It sucks. Maybe you'll have better luck when you come back home, i know being somewhere foreign is tough sometimes.

Anyway, i'm going to go start on my comp sci program. Hope things work out.
