It’s not like he KNEW!!
I live for comments like these. :)

The "How the Tighs came to be" was such an interesting question to try and answer... they just beg for backstory.

And darn it, I refuse to believe Richard was a total jerk and lousy in bed because Laura wouldn't have stood for it that long if he was. ;)

Makes me long for a fic where the tables are turned.
That's twisted. But I love it.

Thanks again for reading and commenting. ♥

Hi just randomly interjecting myself here :)

I believe it.
Me too.

Makes me long for a fic where the tables are turned.
Now that is a very interesting idea...

Posting a review at end, but I couldn't help but say that this was probably one of my favorite chapters so far.

I think you pinpoint the atmosphere of the interaction between Laura and Ellen here perfectly. They are people who know and understand each other in these wonderfully convoluted ways even though they are very much still strangers. I really like how you've managed to portray the cusp on which they sit right now - and the growing, but balanced, intimacy between them, and the rationalization and situation that manage to draw the two of them together so realistically. :D

This means so much to me. Thank you. I rewrote this scene three times. Maybe four. I don't even remember. And had some awesome help from some friends as I tried to figure out the essence of their relationship, what grounded their interactions, why they were drawn to each other.

I think I love you. ♥ Seriously... this made me SO happy.

Thanks for the excellent feedback and for reading. :)

"I've had to do some things," she began, before she seemed to run out of words.
Laura's stomach sank, and she stood up and watched Ellen shift on her feet.
Oh, Ellen, what did you do?
Refuge... they need each other and its like I knew they would come together it was just a matter of when.

You can't know that. I don't even know that yet.
I really like this because even if the two of them Dont know it yet it shows how the people closest to them can see it.

I like the back story on Saul/Ellen, I always thought they were just absolutely crazy about each other :)

LOOOOVE the section about Adar, and how she uses that to get Ellen to stay. You really made it seem like it was more than sex between them at least for Laura. That made me have soo much more compassion for her in your story. I also love how it opens her up to Ellen and they finally find common ground and trust.

Laura watched as Ellen wiped her tears with the collar of her coat ( ... )

This is an excellent point... I think this happens a lot in "real life." Thank you for seeing it with them.

I will credit that idea to tjonesy, who said as I was agonizing over another rewrite, "Have Laura use Adar to get her to stay." It blew my mind... everything fell into place then. It was just so damn perfect. And I'm a firm believer in the actual relationship between Laura and Richard. Just sex? Not for that long... I really don't think that's possible. :)

Thanks on the Laura wondering comment... as horrifying of an idea as it is in this situation, sometimes it's interesting to ponder what you'd do for the ones you love.

Thank you, again, for this tremendous feedback. :) *HUGS*

Aha! I knew this was coming. And it's a really good moment. I really liked this chapter. It's probably my favorite so far (but I haven't finished yet!)

Oooh- that Adar revelation was intense! I liked that.

See my earlier comment about how the show created strong female characters and then COMPLETELY ISOLATED THEM from each other. :P (Seriously- did any of the girls have a female best friend? Starbuck's best nonsexual friend was Helo. Dee's was Felix. Racetrack's was Skulls. Kat's was HotDog. Athena... didn't really have someone she was super close to. Laura had Tory, but... Cally's was Jammer. Jean's was Sam.) So thank you for doing something to fill in that gap!

I do what I can. lol. ;) It was sorely lacking. I think the women in the series really could have benefited from strong female relationships and it's sad they weren't given that.

Thanks for the feedback and for reading :)
