Love the way Laura is sttarting to know how Ellen felt but she dosent exactly know thats what it is.

Aww boo dont fight about teh tighs! Celebrate "Miss Roslin Got Frakked Too Hard Last Night Day?" and be happy!

Love their goodbye interaction... and how she felt when everything was ripped out from under her when the cylons show up.

You show all the emotions so well I love it bb!

On this issue, yes. I think he knew how much he didn't need Saul, and how much she needed Saul instead. (And I wanted some backstory behind Bill's canon meeting with Saul telling him to go planetside) I think he wanted the both of them to have what he couldn't, because he had to stay on the ship. But anyone can decide what his motivations were, that's just my take.

Sorry that the Cylons had to come and frak up the A/R!! :)

However, I think it says something for a fic to actually have Bill choose to side against Laura in the verbal way that he did. They actually had a lover's fight instead of simply a Admiral/President fight, and the two are vastly different.

OMG, I realized I was talking about a completely different section of the fic than the one you're referring to! I'm so sorry. It all gets jumbled in my mind. lol. SUCK. Thanks for clarifying.

About Bill siding with Ellen after Laura and he are in bed together... it was an interesting thing for sure, one of those moments where I really feel the character took over while writing the scene. I always think about the end of TMUTMD when Ellen and Bill are in a sort-of hug and it seems very natural for them. I think he has an understanding of Saul and Ellen, having been friends with them for so long, and sees her in part the way Saul does, because he has had to make that leap (kind of like Laura does later).

And Laura was kind of being a bitch so he needed to call her on it. Lover's fight, ftw. :)

So glad I have time to read more tonight. Ellen is such a fascinating character doing New Caprica. I have to admit I've been a little meh on Laura and Bill ever since 4.5 (especially Bill), but this makes me remember why they used to be my OTP.

Thanks for telling me about the OTP thing... it seems like 4.5 did that for a lot of people, and it's good to remember why you liked the relationship in the first place (at least in my opinion). It was grounded in some very beautiful characteristics (and alternately, some tension and angst) that I don't think were played up enough in the later episodes.
