I was trying to work in a holiday in a recent fic. I think now I've found one. "Miss Roslin Got Frakked Too Hard Last Night Day" Works for me. *skips off to next chapter*

Actually come to think about it, it could coincide with Founders Day and Colonial Day.

I'd celebrate. :)

Thanks on the perspective. I'm happy it evolved to be way less Laura/Bill-centric than my usual fare. I really enjoyed writing something fresh.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I want to hug Laura and Ellen so hard right now.

I like the way you show Bill's softened on Ellen a bit since "Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down." I like to think he's realized or been reminded of the inevitability of epic Tigh love. Sure they're dysfunctional but in a really lovely way.

Speaking of epic Tigh love, I like the way Ellen is focusing on her own fear at first when the cylons arrive but then she realizes Saul is trembling and tries to comfort him. That is such a sweet moment.

But, it was Laura's perspective on the cylon arrival that really got to me. I felt my stomach drop right along with hers. I think it was the fact that she was so peaceful - thinking about home and admiring the resourcefulness of humans - and then all of the sudden she's ripped out of that.

This must have been what Caprica sounded like…That is when I got the chills and started to feel extremely ill on Laura's behalf ( ... )

I think in Tigh Me Up there was this huge undercurrent of distrust going on for all of the characters. They've all moved past that by NC (IMO), and I loved opening Bill up to Ellen a bit more.

Sure they're dysfunctional but in a really lovely way.
Yes! Nice point. This is the essence of the Tighs. ♥

That is when I got the chills and started to feel extremely ill on Laura's behalf.
I really can't imagine how horrifying that invasion must have felt. I tried to capture it here, I'm so happy you thought I did a good job.

I love the contrast between Laura's confidence that Bill will come back and Ellen's fear that Saul won't.
I love that you made this point! Sometimes I don't even see these things until people point them out to me. :)

Why do I have a feeling you're going to make me cry?
... *hands you tissue*

Thanks for reading.

Whoa! I was not expecting this. Not even a little bit! I had thought you were going to fill in that missing year on New Caprica (with lots of intriguing sexytimes, naturally) but instead you pulled the rug right out from under my feet. I frakking LOVE that!

The lovers' quarrel was beautifully done. It felt very authentic and in-character. One minute they're tangled together in the warm bedsheets, enjoying an almost heartbreakingly sweet and intimate moment--and the next, they're bristling at each other like a pair of irate hedgehogs. And of COURSE the Cylons came back before the make-up sex, sigh.

Weee!! :) I love to surprise people! Sorry, Admiral, you are now jettisoned to deep space while your woman and your best friend and his woman figure shit out down on the planet. :)

I can't wait for you to read the rest. It's not as much A/R as you might have expected! :)

the next, they're bristling at each other like a pair of irate hedgehogs.
I. love. this. description. lol. Thank you...I'm happy I could write an argument between them and keep it in character, as we didn't see nearly as many personal arguments between them as I think probably occurred, so I tried to make it believable. :)

And of COURSE the Cylons came back before the make-up sex, sigh.

It's like they had their nookie detectors on! Damn them!

Thanks for the feedback and for reading. :)
