"Miss Roslin Got Frakked Too Hard Last Night Day?"

I'm so celebrating this holiday from now on!!

I like the choice to inject some conflict and uncertainty into Bill and Laura's relationship before the occupation rather than just make it some idyllic honeymoon. And I'd never thought I'd say it so quickly, but 'poor Ellen.'

On to Chapter Three! :)

LOL. I think we're going to have to make that a fandom holiday. It seems to be very popular. I like the idea myself. ;)

As much as I like happy Bill & Laura, I think there was always some undercurrent of turmoil between them, and I liked writing a little glimpse of it here. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm happy you liked it.

And yes, poor Ellen... sigh...

Thanks for reading. :) ♥

I just love how you're setting everything up here.

These were the mornings she awoke with a smile.

(((Laura))) Knowing what is to come, this just hits hard.

She walked him to his Raptor, their fingers twined together. They never walked slowly enough.

*sighs* No, they never did--they'd always be aware of when he'd be leaving, wouldn't they?

"We can't lie to ourselves anymore."

Oh (((Ellen))). So true.

Every night he came home she held him tighter. Every morning he left, she missed him more.

I just love how simple this is and yet how it holds so much emotion in it.

Another wonderful section.

Thanks for reading and commenting. ♥ Sometimes I think there's a lot of emotion that can be relayed in simple statements like these and I'm glad you agree.

(((Anne)))

You are awesome. Thank you. :)

It was a lazy morning kind of kiss, the kind people shared when all they had was time on their hands. - That is beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Oh, Bill and Laura. If only they had more time.

The whole discussion about Ellen was so...intriguing. It means that I can't wait to see what's next. I mean. On the show before 4.5, all we're given is Ellen the drunk who loves Saul but also loves sex, so I can't wait to see where this goes.

I like that Laura stays strong in the face of this attack, too. And that she wants to be on New Caprica for the people. The way you write her is completely sound with what we know about her from the show (heck, this fic will probably just become canon in my head, you know?) - that she is this strong person who has needs and whatnot, but also that she understands what needs to be done and who she needs to be for other people.

Favorite part, though, was the conversation between Bill and Laura - their lazy morning flirting and the proposal of a "Miss Roslin Got Frakked Too Hard Last Night

That was always the problem, wasn't it?

I guess I touched on this in my response to your Chapter 1 feedback, but YES. You're so right. And it's such a shame that they made her so one-dimensional for most of the show.

Canon in your head! I'm honored. really. That's so sweet.

that she is this strong person who has needs and whatnot, but also that she understands what needs to be done and who she needs to be for other people.
That's such a fantastic description of her... ♥

I'll admit that the lazy morning flirting is my favorite part too. I wanted that for them--I hope they had it at some point. They probably did, it just wasn't something we had the privilege of seeing.

And the holiday FTW. I'm so happy everyone's on board with this holiday.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Oh, yes, I've been celebrating Miss Roslin Got Frakked Too Hard Last Night Day for years now, with the traditional champagne and Godiva chocolates with very gooey centers.
Yep. Good times.

Just started reading this and am really loving it so far - I like the way there's such a void between the way you write Ellen (somewhat sympathetic) and the fact that Laura still gets such an awful view of her. Think you've captured perfectly the elements that set them at loggerheads every time - how easily Ellen is intimate, how Ellen thinks Laura acts superior.

These are such lovely things for you to say... thank you. It was important for me to set up this slightly adversarial relationship before they went through this fic together. :)
