I loved the banter between the two of them in the morning, Bill's sweet little morning sighs *Aww*"
"I guess I just don't get it. She seems like such a train wreck." Something tells me that before this fic is over Laura's first impressions will be vastly changed.
The moment of the cylon invasion is palpable here.
This must have been what Caprica sounded like… I can totally imagine that this would be going through someones mind when all of this was going down.
I liked that Ellen was the voice of reassurance when the attack starts and that her love for him grows but with it the uneasy feeling that loss will occur because of it. Its that dilemma of 'I love you for this but why has it got to be you who endangers himself.'
Look forward to chappie three tomorrow :)

On Bill's morning sighs... I can tell in this fic that my love for Bill was growing. I never would have written that months before this. lol.

You may be right. lol.
I'm really pleased that you found the attack/invasion scene realistic here. I think the idea has been done a lot in fanfic and I wanted to make it al ittle different.
'I love you for this but why has it got to be you who endangers himself.'
You put it so well. Poor them. ♥
Again, thanks for reading and commenting. :)

As much as I enjoyed that, I was proud of Bill for standing up for Ellen, even though it ruined the mood. I really liked this, because it's so true to his character. I think we've all got that one friend that others either roll their eyes at or flat-out dislike, but who we understand. At least, I do, so this resonated for me. "She's complicated." SSWA.
And, after Bill leaves and Laura gets thinky, you repeat the refrain of jealousy over Ellen's knowledge of Bill. I love that so hard because it's so human and vulnerable and real. It's also one of the first steps in showing just how alike Ellen and Laura really are.
Every time Bill left felt the same as the last-though Laura knew he had to go back and command the Fleet, she wished things could finally be different.Ding-ding-ding! Oh, Laura. I have this crazy image of her in my head as a stoned ( ... )

I'm seriously thinking of making this some sort of fandom holiday. Because I have that power. Right. So happy you liked it. I also approve of this day.
I adore that you were proud of Bill for standing up to Ellen. I think that scene's been tricky for people because it's really hard to see Bill as accepting of Ellen when he was a bit intolerant of her in the first season. You just got that... he might not approve of what or who she's doing but somehow, he gets her and he gets them, and the other way around. There's no other way they would have been friends for this long without some sort of bond that allows them to look past those behaviors.
Poor jealous Laura, and LOL on the stoned version of Ellen. They do have a lot of similarities.
These two really could be besties (LOL) if Laura'd loosen up and Ellen'd sheathe the claws. Breaks my heart. Sigh ( ... )

I love this moment between them. I wanted that for them so much.
Bill's statement about Saul and Ellen is more than true! If only he knew how true that was!
I love making these characters say things that, when they end up finding out what's real and true, they would do a giant *facepalm*
Oh, you caught me by surprise here. I didn't think that the Cylons would come this fast. Wow!
Neither did they. ;)
It's like the photo they sent Laura - the one the pilots touch whenever they leave the ready-room (I don't know how the room actually is called but that's what I hear *blames different language*) - the picture of the lonely person kneeling watching the destruction of the Colonies. Do you know which one I mean?
YES! That painting she has. I know the one you're talking about and it's so great that this made you think about that. I want to know the story behind that painting.
A very sweet thing though: Ellen ( ... )
