I am watching the news and I get the feeling that the news media is disappointed that the devistation caused by Rita wasn't much worse.

I didn't used to, but I have to agree with you. I've flipped around to CNN, MSNBC, and Fox. All of the newscasters just seem so sad that thousands of people didn't die. Not to imply that people didn't lose their homes and that there's not flooding, but earlier Wolf Blizter interviewed someone who spoke of her total devestation at her home in texas and how she only survived because of her instinct. Wolf asked her what happened to her house and she said that the "damage was total". He pressed her and she said that her front railing was gone. Ummm....?
